Cultural and Psychological Predictors of Attitudes Towards Prisoners

Dissertation research question: Exploring Cultural and Psychological Predictors of Attitudes Towards Prisoners I have placed this order for a First Class Standard Undergraduate level. The literature review must look at the public’s opinion on prisoners and look at how their cultural attitudes (race, ethnicity, religion) affect their attitudes towards prisoners. Also must look at how their psychological predictors (generosity, judgement, personality types/traits) also affect their attitudes towards prisoners. The literature review must include the attribution theory as well as other theories that look at prisoners and personalities as well as culture. The literature review must also include a rationale, explaining how there is a gap in literature on public attitudes towards prisoners in the UK, that don’t take into account different races, religions etc. My study has used the Attitude Towards Prisoner Scale (Outcome Variable). I have also used a generosity and judgement scale. I have three hypothesis that should be based on literature review so please revolve it around this. Hypothesis 1: People who score higher on the generosity scale will have a more positive attitude towards prisoners. Hypothesis 2: People who score more higher on the judgment scale will have a more negative attitude towards prisoners. Hypothesis 3: There will be a difference between different cultures (different races, different religions and different ethnicities) and their attitude towards prisoners Sources should only come from academic journals, articles and books. These sources should be recent, preferably having most of the sources dated from within the past 10 years.
