This assignment involves you conducting interviews 3 people you respect as leaders. The intent of the
assignment is to deepen your understanding of practical leadership experience and inspire ideas for your own
future development. Following the interviews, reflect on insights gained regarding the practice of leadership
and the leadership development journey. What themes emerge from the interview around the real work of
leadership and what it takes to become a leader? The best papers also will draw connections between
interview themes and concepts developed in class.
A strong suggestion is to pick one person that you do not know and contact them to complete the assignment.
You may pick people from any walk in life who’s leadership and approach to leading you admire. Be sure to
capture your notes and your insights from each of the interviews. Suggested interview questions include:
