Sports Coaching

 

Choose an athlete from your team/squad and develop a set of goals for the preparation phase of training for the following elements of your sport/activity: Physical development Technical development Tactical development Psychological development Use these goals as a guide to develop: – A Meso plan for the first six weeks of training. – Two individual Session plans that link to the Meso plan and demonstrate your understanding of the sport, the athlete’s needs and the progressions made. Outline and justify the sports coaching approach/s that you might adopt in order to support your athlete during this six week period. Use reference material from the course and your wider reading/experience to validate your coaching approach.
