Write a response, it should be between 600 to 1,200 words (so 2 to 4 pages double spaced) and should engage with any combination of the required listenings, readings, lectures or possibly other associated material. This is NOT a research paper and does not require further research although you do need to cite any material to which you refer. It is instead an opportunity for you to explain in writing your own opinion about the material you choose to discuss. Grading will depend on two things: 1) the quality of writing; 2) the level of engagement with the material. What I am looking for is a serious attempt to think about it, which is shown by drawing connections between different things: readings, music, video, things I have talked about in lecture, etc. The submission of the assignment will be online through Canvas and the deadline is Friday, April 27 at 11:59 pm. Late assignments will be docked 5% per day they are submitted after the due date.
