Purpose of the Paper
The paper is designed to encourage students to delve into the white-collar crime literature and apply what has been learned to a real event. Students are expected to apply the concepts learned in the class to a white-collar crime case, and discuss how they apply.

Format of the Paper
The format of the paper should be as follows:
Introduction
Discussion of the white-collar crime case you wish to evaluate. (The case can be recent or historical).
Identify a theory that could explain why the crime was committed.
Discuss how the case differs from traditional crimes.
Discuss how the criminal justice system responded to the case.
Conclusion

The paper must be at least six and no more than eight complete pages in length, excluding the cover page and reference page. You may draw on the assigned or recommended readings, and additional readings of your choice. You must include information from at least 10 sources. Use APA Style for citing these sources, as well as for font and margin requirements. Credible Internet sources are permissible, although the majority of resources must come from places other than the Internet. Please check with me if you are uncertain regarding the credibility of a source. All papers must be double-spaced, be written in Times New Roman in 12-point font, and have 1” margins.
Points will be deducted for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Additionally, points will be deducted for awkwardness in your prose. Thus, be careful and make sure you turn in a clean and clearly written paper.
