● After reading chapters 11-13 and understand the aspects of each type of 3D Media I would like you to think about what Art is and what a “Craft” is
● Many will argue that there is a hard line between what art is and what craft is and that the two should be separate – apart from each other. Others will say that there is no difference that Art and Craft are one in the same – why else would the term “Arts and Crafts” be coined?
● What is your opinion? Are Arts and Crafts one in the same or are they different and should they be measured differently? Why or why not?
● There are no “wrong” answers to this question, there are only your opinions and you will ground your opinions by using the information that you have read

In this Journal Entry you will discuss what art is and what a artifact is. Through chapters 14-18 we have discovered art dating back to the beginning of mankind. Looking back on these items it is clear that each and everyone had a purpose or function of some kind, in most cases there is some kind of communication function that is going along with the item. As we think of what art is now we more often than not regard its function as being to bring upon some sort of an emotion, however more often than not there is not an everyday function that goes along with it.
Is there and should there be a difference in what is regarded as art and what is regarded an artifact? Are they one in the same? Why or why not?
