Agenda Building

The term agenda building denotes, per Mitnick (1980), “the process by which issues are brought into a formal
institutional agenda and transformed into policy intentions.” Behind this tidy definition lies the complex work of
making abstract problems concrete, defining and funneling diagnoses for change through appropriate
channels, and shepherding policies to implementation.
For this Discussion, think about how agenda building will be integrated into your Scholar Practitioner Project.
