Working effectively within a clinical governance (CG) framework requires thorough understanding of the key concepts and principles of CG and how these are applied in our workplace. The aim of this assessment is to demonstrate your awareness of CG in your workplace through reflection on the principles of CG and the way an organisation and health professional apply these principles. In doing so you will develop and clarify your understanding of CG to recognise gaps in practice, areas for improvement, and how to strengthen these for improved quality and safety.
In essay format, describe the differences between CG and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards or the new National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards, select the standards most relevant to your workplace.
