t’s hard for grownups to imagine themselves as little children again or even remember what their life was like back then. The questions below are designed to help you recreate your life as a young child between the ages of 2-6. You might have to ask a parent or relative about some of the questions. Feel free to include other relevant information or stories about yourself. AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT FEEL YOU CAN DO THIS ON YOURSELF, make arrangements to interview someone else about their preschool child.

Part 1. Reflect back on your early childhood/preschool years using the 8 questions below.

Where did your family life when you were a preschooler? Who was living in the house? Did you share a bedroom? With whom?
Using pages Diana Baumrind’s styles of parenting, identify the type of parenting style each of your parents would fall under. Describe why you feel they fit into this parenting style.
What was your favorite toy? Story/Book? Game? Physical activity?
How much TV did you watch per day? Did you have a favorite TV show? What impact do you feel TV had on you?
Did your mother work? If so, did you go to preschool or have a babysitter? Did you have positive or negative memories of this experience?
