Overview:
This overview of this essay will be based on The Economic Freedom of the World Report http://www.freetheworld.com/release.html and will ask to you compare the relationship between the economic freedom and political freedom in a specific country.
Outline:
- You are required to apply economic analysis the country in question and analyze what aspects of economic freedom (along the five pillars) are weakest, and why.
- Then you must assess how economic freedom is affecting political freedom as measured by (Freedom House) and what can the country do to better it’s conditions.
- Apply these principles to thinking about the following policy objectives generally: foreign aid, exporting economic growth, environments of economic freedom, the unintended consequences of exporting democracy
You must reference cited works in your paper. Word length should be between 4000-5000 words. Your paper should include data and the use of graphs and charts. Your paper should include a one-page or shorter Executive Summary (this counts toward the overall word count).
Country and time period of Choice:
The project would focus on the relationship between the economic freedom and political freedom of Saudi Arabia between the period for 2010 – 2022. This much first provide an analysis of economic freedoms first (all five pillars) over and political freedoms between 2010-2022. What has improved/ dis improved, what are some of the reason why various economic improvements didn’t necessarily improve personal freedoms.
