Aeschylus
Aeschylus
In Aeschylus play Agamemnon, Clytemnestra is portrayed by the chorus as a woman that lacks smartness. However, what are some of the things that Clytemnestra does that
indicate the contrary? Consider the reasons and devices she uses to revenge Agamemnon. Clytemnestra is the hero′s bane. Remember to make a list for yourself before you
begin to write and turn that list into topic sentences that are proving your thesis right. Begin with a formal introduction of the text, then a short summary, at the
end of the 1st paragraph state your thesis. In the ensuing paragraphs formulate 3 topic sentences (sub-topics) and use quotes, list of examples, and comment upon the
quotes to prove your topic sentences right, which is ultimately proving your thesis right. The point is to show the reader the patterns you observe in the text.
