Benchmarking Order Description Produce a written report comprising: a. Executive summary (stating what you did, what you found and your recommendations in approximately � of a page) (200 max words) b. Main body of report (setting out your findings, options and recommendations in full, comprising the results of the benchmarking, the planning considerations to effect improvement and finally the plan for implementation of your recommendations. You will need to set out any assumptions here). (2,000 words max). c. Summary and conclusions (recommending a course of action) (300 max words). Part One should include the following in your report to the Board: � Your key assumptions � Graphs and tables to demonstrate how the facility is performing against the benchmarks � Identification of the key benchmarked items that are of concern including commentary of the possible reasons for variance � Your overall assessment of the facility. PART TWO: Using the assessments and analysis about your building gained above, make recommendations to the board about what to do to improve the performance of the facility. In this part of the assignment you need to show the following: � Discuss options/action plan (sell, refurbish, implement alternative practices such as change maintenance practices, out source some tasks etc.) to improve the key variances you have selected and discovered by the above process. � Prepare a high level implementation plan to demonstrate how your actions will be put into practice (What, who, when and targeted improvement level).
