Connective tissue disorders Tissues In this exercise, we want to examine the disorders that can result from abnormalities in the connective tissue.  Below is a list of disorders that are associated with mutations in different components of the connective tissue.  Please choose two of the disorders that interest you.  You should describe the genetic and molecular basis of the disorder indicating how it is linked to some component of the connective tissue.  Other information that you should include are the symptoms of the disorder, current diagnostic methods and treatment methods.  You should type this information in paragraph format, including all the pertinent information concerning the disorder.  You should have approximately 2-3 pages typed for each disorder (double-spaced).  You should (as with every paper) include a works cited list. 1.    Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type I 2.    Marfan’s syndrome 3.    Ehlers Danlos syndrome 4.    Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva 5.    Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa 6.    Achondrogenesis 7.    Pseudoxanthoma elasticum, PXE 8.    Kniest Dysplasia 9.    Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita 10.    Stickler’s syndrome 11.    Alport syndrome 12.    Hypochondrogenesis 13.    Achondroplasia Please choose only 2 disorders and type 2papers for the 2disorders.
