Critical review

Critical review Part 2 Final Report You will receive formative feedback on the first report submission which then leads to a process of research into relevant areas of HR practice, in order to meet the key questions you have set in the diagnostic report. In your final submission your report will: • provide a comprehensive and critical review of the relevant literature building upon the initial literature identified in the diagnostic report • explain and discuss what answers this has provided to the key questions you identified in assignment 1: diagnostic report • provide some recommendations for organisational improvement specific to the context. You are not expected to provide detailed and implementable recommendations (with costs, timetables, for example) but should consider how this specific organisation or sector might address the issue, taking into account what you have learnt through your reading, and what you know about the organisational context. The final report will be read in conjunction with your first submission by the same marker and so it is expected that you will have addressed the formative feedback given in the diagnostic within the final report. This final submission is due to be submitted by 8th December 2015 and will account for 70% of the module grade. The report should be approximately 3,000 words. In both reports it is important that you use relevant literature to provide evidence to support your arguments. This must be referenced correctly, using a standard format consistently throughout (Harvard), and a bibliography provided. Both the assignments should be presented in basic report style. This means in appropriate formal writing style, with contents page, sections and subsections, a clear introduction and conclusion etc. Some guidance on report style will be provided on Moodle. Work which exceeds the suggested count by more than 10% will be penalised, but additional illustrative material that you include as appendices will not contribute to the word count.
