International Business Research Paper   Based on progress reports 1, 2, and 3, develop a research paper suitable for submission to an academic conference. Revise the ideas based on comments received for each paper. As well as including problem definition, contribution, theory and predictions, your paper should include a description of your research design, the type of data required to test your hypotheses, and methods you might use to collect and analyze the data (for empirical papers). 1. Introduction 2. Problem statement / definition (gap) 3. Literature review 4. Theory and Propositions 5. Proposed methods / data sources 6. Expected Implications (why is this research important) 7. Conclusions keeping this in mind: The research paper should have a clear theoretical basis for conceptual development. a. An introduction: which shows the importance of the subject area you want to investigate. The introduction should logically lead to your research objectives. b. Literature Review: The second section is the Literature review, which includes a survey of previous research in your area of investigation. You should be able to show a research gap describing what types of studies have (not) been done in the area and how your study is adding value and new direction to previous work. c. Conceptual Development: this section should be clearly grounded in appropriate theories and should extend the scope and boundary conditions associated with the topic. The conceptual ideas should logically lead to testable propositions. d. Discussion and Implications: will involve you writing what insights have we gained from your conceptualization and how will your study be helpful to managers, policy makers and academics.
