  Is shopping addictive? 1. Brief discussion of media report(s) that shopping may be addictive- 2. Discussion of scientific literature addressing this issue. (is there any literature on epidemiology? etc 3. Discussion of general issues of nomenclature - e-g-, DSM criteria for substance use disorders and other behavioual disorders- 4. A comparison and critique of reported characteristics of shopping addiction with proposed criteria for behavioural addictions. Note that the major focus of the 2500 report would be on scientific literature and should be written in a formal/ scientific style (including appropriate referencing etc).
