The course is about Convention Industry. Wrirte a research paper on a topic relating to Convention Industry. Your research paper must adhere to the following format. Failure to do so will result in the loss of points (as shown in brackets): • 12 point font (Times or Times New Roman) (2 points). • 1 inch margins on the top, bottom, left and right—you will need to reset your defaults in Word (2 points). • Double space (2 points). • Spell check (1 point for each spelling error). • Grammar check (1 point for each grammatical error). • Page numbers (2 points). • Use headings and if appropriate, subheadings, to help organize your paper. A reader can get lost in a paper that seems to go on forever. Headings help the reader keep track of the information within a paper (5 points). • APA format for in-text citations, headings and sub-headings, and bibliography (references or works cited) (15 points). Assignments are opportunities for students to research useful information that will benefit their future careers. Students are expected to provide adequate effort on each assignment and devote the time necessary to gather the information needed. Introduction: Write a 5 page research paper on a topic relating to the course. The course is Introduction to the Convention Industry Must include a min. of 3 different references. (Textbooks (Course textbook required as one source), journal articles, industry magazines, etc.) Must cite the references in APA format in the body of the paper and the bibliography. Follow written assignment guidelines in the syllabus for formatting the paper. Prepare 3-5 min. presentation for class on your paper. You can submit your paper to turnitin as many times as you would like up until the due date to check for plagiarism, spelling, grammar and other possible issues with the paper. The last paper submitted will be the paper that is graded.
