The third part of the research project is exclusively on the design of the instrument. This will be presented to the class for feedback in the 10th week of classes. Make sure to use visuals to allow classmates to see and understand what you are trying to do.
-The methodology for each sample.
-Introducing each sample and place and position.
-the questions asked for each sample and with each methodology.
-you will know more about what needed in this part from the uploaded materials.
-You have to go through the course materials for this part then design and create questions and the way it will be asked.

Focus Group – Cell phones
The purpose of a focus group is often to probe beyond “top-level” answers and to gather some real insights into the behavior of the target market. Therefore, don’t hesitate to go beyond the scope of the discussion guide for a short period if you are uncovering some interesting and relevant information.
Welcome – today we will be discussing various aspects of mobile phones.
Selecting your sample:
1. Who here has a mobile phone?
Focus Questions:
1. How long have you had one?
2. How often do you use your phone? For what purpose do you use your phone? (Probe – other than for phone calls and text messages, what else is the phone used for?)
3. How often do you get a new phone? When do you think you will be getting your next new phone?
4. What makes you decide that it’s time to get a new phone?
5. What are the 2-3 main features that you look for in a phone?
6. Other than the phone’s features, do you consider what type of phones your friends have?
7. Do you tend to be loyal to the same brand of phone?
8. When shopping around for a new phone, what information do you gather and from where do you gather it (that is, ads, internet, talk to friends)?
9. When shopping around for a new phone, how many stores would you visit?
10. How influenced are you by in-store salespeople and special offers?
Thank you for participating.
