Read Plato’s "Laches" pp. 664-669. Then, write a 1-2 full page paper in which you explain Laches's (not Nichias's) arguments against the value of fighting in armor. In particular, (i) note how many different arguments he gives against fighting in armor, (ii) note the premises of each argument, (iii) indicate whether you think that each argument is convincing or not, and (iv) explain why. That is all. Easy peasy. (You don’t have to write out the arguments using numbered premises.) Laches’ arguments can be found at 182d-184c (pp. 668-69). You don’t have to read any more of the “Laches” than this.
