Police Ambush Technology Order Description In the past ten years, suspects ambushing police officers (especially in their patrol vehicles) are on the rise. Many departments, officers, community leaders, and legislators are vigorously finding ways to prevent, train, and equip police officers with the effective tools to counter these attacks. This paper will examine the history behind these attacks and why it is on the rise. Also, the focus of this paper will concentrate on the technology created by various companies to prevent police ambushes (specifically while officers are in their patrol vehicles). Finally, this power point will give statistics and examples on how this new technology has saved police officer lives.
