Your task is to write a paper analyzing the language in an episode of political text. Political text is defined widely including speeches, comments, and press conferences by elected officials and political candidates for elected office, campaign ads, executive orders, laws, legislative bills, press releases, and party platforms. The specific components of the prompt are listed below. 1) Identify an episode of political text to analyze. The Text must have occurred between the year 2000 and the present moment in 2017. This will requ’re doing some external research to identify a piece of political text. 2) Describe the language and/ or imagery in the political text. 3) Analyze they ways in which the language and/ or imagery in the text uses racist language, creates or reinforces racial stereotypes, and/ or uses racially coded language. 4) Be sure to engage class readings and class material in your analysis- 5) Lastly, discuss the political and social implications of the usage of this kind of language and/ or imagery in your political text
