Poster, about Health financie system in Australia
Assignment:
1. The context
• The National Health Council, which is chaired by the Minister of Health, recently passed Resolution 6 of 2015. This states the need for an increase in the financial resources in the health sector. The resolution notes that this expansion can be based on both public and private funding and should respect the criteria of equity with particular attention being paid to the health and health care needs of the households with low-incomes.
• You are working in the Division of Health Planning in the Ministry of Health.
• The country referred to is a country of your own choice and can be classified as low income, middle-income, or high-income.
2. The task: Here my supervisor advise me to do this things: please if you need any more info just let me know
We are fine with your country choice Australia. As you can focus on only one financing option I would recommend to focus on the government run health financing system of medicare and look at the equity impact for the lower-income groups of various additional financing measures for the public (such as additional payments or insurances for these).
You are required to develop a poster to be displayed to the National Health Council to explore the options regarding community financing, social insurance, private insurance, and tax-based financing. The terms of reference are: ‘to review one of the four options of health care funding. You will need to assess its appropriateness in increasing financial resources and expanding health service provision within the country context. It is important that the review considers the impact on equity with attention being paid to the health care needs of the low-income households.’
My task as my supervisor wants like this the country I had chosen is Australia and please cover the point that he is mention about it.
