Probate Petition

The files that I have attached are my probate petition assignment. This is an extra credit assignment for me that I can get a couple of point for to increase my grade. The point of this assignment is to create a fake fact pattern similar to the one that was provided in the original assignment given by the teacher. Create a fact pattern using completely different facts but make it in New York. You don’t need to include so many kids and grandkids, just make sure you have at least one person to fill out parts 6(a), 6(b), 7(a), 7(B). Use completely different language than what is given in the fact pattern and the will so it doesn’t look like it was copied. Do not use the words “devise and bequeath” and replace them with other phrases meaning the same thing. You can look up examples of Wills to help you. You can create a fake death certificate or find one online and use it in this assignment (make sure it’s in New York). You can use the same death certificate as the teacher gave me for the original assignment just make sure the fact pattern and the Will is completely different. Let me know if you can't find a picture of one and I will either provide you with one or pay for an extra page for you to create one. Make the fact pattern at least 1 page long and the Last Will and Testament one page long as well. Go on www.nycourts.gov (click on surrogates court and click on forms) to pull up blank forms to be filled out just like I did with my teacher’s assignment. The pages I received 0 on are pages that had to be included but I didn’t hand them in because I didn’t think they were needed, which was my mistake that needs to be fixed on this assignment. The pages that the teacher wrote “not needed” are pages that are not needed in this assignment if you make it similar to the teacher’s assignment, which would be the easiest thing to do so you already have a basis for it. No sources should be used unless you are pulling a picture of a death certificate off of online then just cite the website you pulled it from. For the Notary part, you can use the same name as I did on the teacher’s assignment and same goes for the attorney part.
