Regression Analysis of Foreclosure Rates in Specified Counties Within Pennsylvania
My research paper is a regression analysis of foreclosure rates on specified counties within Pennsylvania. Statistical software called Gretl will analysis the specific effects of variables that I have chosen to put in my regression model.

Second deadline: First draft: November 21 (Friday)*
Third deadline: Final draft: December 1 (Monday) **
*The first draft will be graded as part of your final grade. It must be a good fully developed paper, and it must conform to the

Page layout/length: Typed – double spaced (12-15 pages), one-inch margins*
Sourcing: MLA format, embedded citations (alternative style book may be used as long as consistent).
Works cited: 7–10 (minimum of 7 peer-review research sources)
Writing style: Third person narration (do not use I, we, us, you, yours)
Title page: (Order - title, name, date)
Appendices: All regression output must be grouped logically and labeled appropriately in an appendix. (Please note: You can
include figures in the body of the paper, but most should be referenced in an appendix section).
*Staple once in top left corner; no folders, covers, etc.
PAPER OBJECTIVE:
To investigate/research a specific topic related to course readings, exploring a key research question that must be included in
the paper proposal (e.g., “The long-run determinants of the real, effective exchange rate: A Cointegration Analysis of the
historical Yen/Dollar Relationship?).
Your conclusions should be drawn from the peer-review research presented and related to your central question outlined
and presented in your paper proposal (see above). You must survey carefully (mostly in your own words – avoiding long
quotations) different perspectives on the key question, not just summarize your understanding of what happened.
It must be peer-reviewed based, and not, for example, what amounts often to just a book review reproducing somebody
else's story. Synthesize it all and relate back to you empirical findings. Make sure to select empirically based papers to
compare your results to and evaluate, etc.!
STEPS/TIPS:
-Select a topic related to course readings and discussions.
-Research primary and secondary sources and consider all points of view.
-Prepare an abstract and outline in which you state the purpose of your paper.
-Write a rough draft after approval of your topic is received.
-Support your findings with documented facts, examples, quotations, charts, graphs, etc.
-Make sure your paper has an introduction, a main body, and a conclusion.
-Proofread your drafts before submitting (for writing accuracy and editorial integrity).
-Make revisions and corrections once you receive feedback from professor.- Use Google Scholar for quick access to peerreview
publications.-Consult your library resources for additional journal articles (ask a reference librarian).
GRADING RUBRIC: SCREFW
-Sources (Do you cite numerous sources using appropriate endnotes or footnotes?)
-Coherency (How well do you integrate different ideas and how well do the parts relate to the whole?)
-Relevancy (Is it relevant to our objectives in the course and to the target research question?)
-Effort (Time involved and thought that went into it your analysis and writing)
-Focus (Do you define a topic and stick to it? Answer questions you pose, etc.?)
-Writing (Organization of the writing: structure of paragraphs and logical flow)
