Research Methodology - PMO_A+B
Part A Description: Research Proposal (CLO1)
Prepare a research proposal. It should be written just like a normal article but short of analyses and conclusions based on analyses. Need NOT collect data.
Headings:
Title
Abstract
Introduction- objective of study and organization of paper
Literature review and theoretical framework – more specific and directed towards the conceptual framework. It will mention studies that have been done
which are similar, and the literature review will specifically mention the gap. Alternatively, a literature review can mention about the flaws in previous
research, and how your research corrects/avoids those flaws. Just doing a bigger sample is not enough. Just replicating a research done elsewhere and
doing it in the UAE is by itself not enough. Include conceptual framework and 4-5 alternative hypotheses.
(Word limit: 2,000- 4,000 words)
PART B – Research Methodology (CLO4)
Methodology- proposed questionnaire used in previous published research (if possible, attach as appendix, include citation), proposed sample and
justification for sample selection, narratives to approach those respondents and how?
Describe what multivariate tests (e.g. multiple regression, factor analyses, manova) you would conduct in your research project and the purpose of using
such tests, strengths and limitations. 500-1,000 words.
(Word limit: 1,000-1,500 words)
