  Option A: Use all three of the personal testimonies that we examined in this course (From Grandmother to Granddaughter; Child of the Dark; testimonies cited in “Feelings, Attitudes, and Decisions,”), supplemented by other course readings and lectures. Discuss examples of the direct impact of political processes or conflicts—national and/or international—on women’s lives. You should attend both to ways in which these processes and conflicts have impacted men and women alike, and instances or areas in which the impact was differentiated by gender. You may also wish to argue that political developments have shaped economic structure and labor systems. Use the sources I provide below.
