Statement of Ethical Practice

Statement of Ethical Practice This is a collaborative assignment designed to foster reflection, analysis, and discussion with course colleagues in regard to ethical practice in employee Training and Development. Course participants will form small groups and each group will review current literature (published within the past five years) directly related to ethical issues in employee Training and Development. Each group will examine at least 12 publications (books, journal articles, or other published research) and from those sources identify at least three ethical issues facing contemporary T & D practitioners. Each group will collaboratively analyze each issue, examining social, economic, demographic, and/or technological factors that contribute to the prominence of the identified issues. Further, each group will provide a collaborative response/recommendation to the identified ethical issues. Finally, each group will collaboratively formulate a statement explicating the group’s perspectives on ethical practice in T & D. This statement must be more than an opinion; it must be expressed as a scholarly distillation gleaned from the literature of ethics, T & D, organizational behavior, and/or management science. As this assignment is a collaborative effort reflecting input from all members of each group, all group members will receive the same group grade for this assignment. Assignment Parameters: The paper will include an introduction, identification and analysis of ethical issues as described above, and statement of ethical practice in T & D. The paper should be 10 to 12 pages in length including references and any appendices and excluding the required standard cover page. The paper must conform to APA (sixth edition) format requirements and format guidelines. The paper should include a minimum of 12 references to books, journal articles, or other published research.
