The subject for this work is the difference in savings rates in different nations.
Your initial variable will be the gross savings as a % of GDP.
You will be required to collect data on this. You may use the source:

Each student will look at EIGHT different countries the names of which will be allocated.
1. Obtain the definition of gross savings used in the source data and discuss any problems it presents as a measure of savings behaviour.
2. Produce a table or graph in any style you wish to illustrate the differences in saving rates between your countries.
3. Discuss the pattern shown in your answer to Q.2.
4. Suggest a variable that might be used to help explain the differences in saving rates between your countries.
5. Obtain data for the variable suggested in Q.4., indicate the source used and provide the definition used in the source.
6. Present a table for the data obtained in Q.5.
7. Produce a scatter diagram of saving rates (Y-axis) against the variable you have chosen (X-axis) to help explain its variation.
8. Use any statistical method you like to provide a more detailed examination of the relationships in the graph from Q.7.
