  The assessment aims to assess the students ability to: • Supply accurate advice on the rights and obligations of employers and employees arising from the legislation • Demonstrate an ethical approach to people management and development; • Assess the contribution of people management and development to organisational success and recommend whether elements should be outsourced. The Assignment Mappins is a well-known holiday camp situated near the East coast in Yorkshire. The holiday camp specialises in budget holidays for families. They are looking to recruit 5 new members of staff to fulfil a variety of entertainment roles. The roles will be required to support other team members in their duties, such as administrative and cashier’s roles. You are HR Manager at Mappins and are required to produce a portfolio presenting the following materials. • A job description and person specification for the roles (400 words) • A Job advert to help you recruit appropriate candidates. (250 words) • A plan outlining our selection strategy for obtaining the best candidate (250 words) • A plan outlining your training and development strategy for the role-holders (250 words) • A six-month induction plan for the new staff members. (400 words) You are also required to complete 1000 words critical commentary of your overall recruitment strategy. Support and underpin your work with evidence and support from your research. Consider ethics approaches to recruitment and selection. Also consider the advantages and disadvantage of outsourcing.
