Topic: Beads and Money: Wealth and Power

Order Description The research paper will be expand on the research paper proposal handed in earlier in the semester. (will be additional files) Required to cite at least three (3) peer-reviewed academic sources. Papers must follow a standard essay format, with an introduction, background, analysis and conclusion. Students will be graded based on the clarity, accuracy and intellectual rigor on the following criteria within each section: Introduction • Thesis statement • Significance of topic • Brief summary of argument Background • Summary of the topic’s historical background • Discussion of key perspectives on topic (theory) • Comprehension of readings and accuracy of summary/background Case Study • Detailed description of your example • Key points should relate to the theory/perspectives introduced in background • Demonstrate an ability to carry out research and restate findings in narrative form Analysis • Critique of differing perspectives • Synthesis of differing perspectives into a unified position • Intellectual rigor of theoretical discussion Conclusion • Restatement of argument • Brief summary of key points of argument • Restatement of thesis
