Topic: case study at placement

Order Description based on observations and reflections on your first placement you need to write a critical commentary that meets the module learning outcomes. 1. Critically analyse and consider the application of theories which social workers use in their practice to assist service users to effect change in their lives. (One or two will suffice). 2. Apply a reflective model to demonstrate and appraise the processes of discrimination and oppression at both personal and structural levels and their impact on peoples' lives. 3. Demonstrate and critically evaluate the core communication (including inter-professional communication) and interviewing skills required in a range of social work settings. 4. Critically analyse the principles of assessment and management of risk. 5. Identify and appraise ways of working in partnership with service users and maximising the choices available to them.
