Order Description Flannery O’Connor is regarded as one of the greatest writers in our post-modern age. One of her most famous works is “The River,” the short story of a young boy whose parents would like their child to just go away. There are always multiple translations of a story, and this is especially true with O’Connor. I would like you to read “The River” and write a paper from a religious and spiritual point of view. One thing I would like you to include in this paper is your view of what happens to the child at the end of the story; not only what happens, but why you believe the story ended the way you see it.
