the affect the rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court in the project cases we are discussing affect the average citizen (of which you qualify). Here is a list of the cases
you can consider: Davis (Marriage Rights) Elonis II (Free Speech) False Arrests (Wesby) Discrimination (Craig v. Masterpiece) 4th Amendment Searches (Carpenter)
Gerrymandering (Whitford) Of that list of 6, pick at least 3 of the cases (though you can pick more). Consider how the ruling in that case could affect ordinary
citizens in their daily lives. In other words, how would you tell someone you see on the street that they should care about what the Supreme Court is doing with these
cases. If you do not believe that a decision will affect ordinary citizens, you must justify your reason for that opinion. Your paper SHOULD NOT include a recitation
of the case itself, as we have already covered that and I have provided you with the same Your reasoning should be supported by language from the cases and/or oral
argument questions, where appropriate. You are also free to use the supporting cases we have read as you feel appropriate. The paper should be approximately 2 pages
long (double spaced).
