Order Description
QUESTION:
Voice and listening: Increasingly, proponents of social justice argue that it is potentially problematic to �give a voice� to those who are marginalised by speaking on their behalf, yet also problematic to place the onus on those who are marginalised to �speak out� for themselves. In this context, what is the role of listening for social justice? Critically discuss with reference to examples.
The essay should*:
? Synthesise relevant scholarly and non-scholarly evidence towards building a coherent argument.
? Clearly answer the question.
? Be presented in appropriate academic style (structure, neat presentation, following the referencing style
guide, correct grammar and punctuation etc).
? Draw on and reference relevant scholarship and theory/concepts.
? Cite an inter-disciplinary range of scholarly sources (at least five scholarly texts).
? Include reference to at least two relevant, reputable non-scholarly sources.
